The charge is £200.

 

This will be for a course that will last something like 8 hours so therefore the charge is something like £25 per hour.

The reality is that I will continue to remain available – beyond the “official” teaching time frame – to you until the end of my time because

1. This is a principle agreed with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
2. Because I will, from time to time, keep you informed about interesting points of awareness, meditation or otherwise, which help you keep a perspective on why it is wise to keep up this simple practice.

For historical awareness or context, in times gone by, if you were to have learnt TM with Guru Dev (the teacher of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi) aside from an arduous trek up to the monastery in the Himalayas you would have been expected to give one week’s earnings towards the upkeep of the monastery.

For historical awareness or context, some have asked why – if something is so valuable to human well-being – it is not taught for free. Experience has clearly shown – as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi directly discovered – that people who sustain this wonderful practice have been those who have had to pay. They have paid for something very valuable – as we all do in every other walk of life.

In my case as a teacher I have to cover the cost of 2 years of teacher training & the building of the meditation centre to learn in – as well as support a young family.
